As you advance through the stages, you will unlock additional weapons plus shields to increase your chances of survival. You can switch weapons by using the keyboard buttons, although only two guns are used in total. In fact, the controls are very simple - just use the mouse to aim and fire. In this respect, the Windows PC game is not really much different from its arcade and console brethren, but it does allow you to select different attack/defence strategies. This meant that you had to attack all enemy targets, not just one at a time. If you remember playing it, you'll know that the objective of the game was to destroy all enemies and collect as much power up parts as possible before the timer expired.
